Overview! 9th ICEMThe broad subject of the 9th ICEM transcends national boundaries and is timely for all people of the world. This meeting attracts approximately 1,200 scientists from industry, academia, and government. The program includes plenary and other special lectures, short courses, current issues symposia, emerging issues symposia, and three poster sessions. Why Attend the Meeting?The International Association of Environmental Mutagen Societies (IAEMS) includes the world’s primary societies for scientists involved in environmental mutagenesis, the consequences of mutation such as cancer, and the evaluation of mutagenic and carcinogenic risks. The 9th ICEM meeting provides attendees with a unique opportunity to learn about recent and important advances in these and related areas. The meeting brings together teachers and basic scientists with those striving to assess the safety of environmental and pharmaceutical agents from all over the world. The result is a dynamic meeting that covers a broad range of contemporary topics and facilitates interactions between students and renowned scientists. We invite you to join us in San Francisco, and hope that you will enjoy all that the city has to offer while renewing old friendships and making new acquaintances. Present Your ResearchThe 9th ICEM is an ideal venue to present your latest research on genetic toxicology and environmental mutagenesis. Abstracts must be submitted through this Web site. Accepted abstracts will be assigned to a poster session or one of the Emerging Issues Symposia. When you submit your abstract you will be required to designate the type of presentation for which you would like your abstract to be considered. Abstract assignments will be made by mid-July, notification will be provided by email to the address you provide during submission of your abstract. Site Updates!
