Excursions/Tours

Optional tours will be available for meeting attendees and their guests. A variety of tours for ICEM registrants and guests have arranged for Wednesday afternoon when there are no sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to relax with your colleagues. There are also Evening Option events that might be of interest, as well as Accompanying Guests Tours that take place during symposium sessions. Participation is optional and costs are incurred by participant through a separate registration process. Tours include transportation and the opportunity to network with other attendees of the 9th ICEM. Many tours have a minimum number of people required. If the minimum numbers are not met, you will have the option to attend a different tour or your money will be refunded. Cancellations will not be accepted after July 31, 2005.

All tours will depart from Market Street Exit, just outside the Market Street Foyer of the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. For more information about the tours, see the Tours Page.

Student and Post-Doctoral Fellows

Students and post-doctoral fellows are invited to attend a special networking session on September 3 at 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM. Presentations from research mentors and trainees will be made, followed by a social activity. This event is open to student and post-doctoral fellow registrants.

Opening Session and Reception

The Opening Session will be held in the Grand Ballroom on Saturday, September 3 at 5:00 PM. The reception will immediately follow at 6:30 PM in the Atrium of the Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Badges are required for both events.

Banquet

The Banquet will be held at the San Francisco City Hall on Thursday, September 8 at 6:30 PM. The Banquet will begin with a reception at 6:45 PM (no host bar). A three course dinner will be served at 7:45 PM. A separate fee is required to attend the banquet. Please mark the appropriate box on the ICEM registration form to attend. Transportation will be provided.

Banquet Registration: The Banquet is NOT included in the Registration fee. You must pay an additional fee to attend the Banquet. Please mark the appropriate space on the Registration Form if you will be attending the Banquet. (Accompanying Person Registration fee does include the Banquet.)
