Grant Writing Workshop Cancellation

Due to unforeseen circumstances the Grant Writing Workshop has been canceled. This workshop was scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2006 , during the Environmental Mutagen Society 37^th Annual Meeting in Vancouver .

 

We are pleased to announce that two of the speakers scheduled to present at the Grant Writing Workshop will make presentations during the DNA Repair Special Interest Group Breakfast on Tuesday, September 19. Drs. Paul Okano and Syed Quadri will give a short presentation on how to navigate the Center for Scientific Review and the National Cancer Institute.

 

Since you have likely made your travel arrangements we invite you to attend one of the other 3 workshops being offered on Saturday.

 

Ø The Progress in -omics Technologies Workshop will bring participants up-to-date on recent developments, advancements and application in the
-omics fields, integration across technologies and potential regulatory implications.  This workshop will be held 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM . 

 

Ø The Scientific Teaching Workshop's goal is to work with EMS and the regional community of Western Canada to enhance undergraduate science education.  This workshop will be held 8:30 AM - 12:00 Noon .

 

Ø The Scientific Publication and Peer Review Workshop will familiarize students and junior researchers with the concepts and approaches to preparing, submitting and reviewing scientific manuscripts, with the logistic process of scientific publication, and with the peer-review process.  This workshop will be held 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM .
