Molecular Epidemiology Special Interest Group
Breakfast Meeting Program
This meeting will focus on health effects of ambient pollution in the Czech Republic. The topics will include: environmental monitoring for exposure to polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and other pollutants, effects of these exposures on the health of children in polluted areas, and genotoxic damage, as evidenced by three different types of biomarkers, in placenta samples from a highly-polluted area.
Talks will be approximately 15 minutes long, and in addition there will be discussion of new topics that members of the Molecular Epidemiology SIG might wish to have presented at future meetings.
