Student and New Investigator Travel Awards

Students and new investigators (doctoral degrees within the past five years) are eligible for Travel Awards, which provide partial support to attend the EMS Annual Meeting. Travel awards are based primarily on merit. For more information about the Student and New Investigator Travel Awards please visit Annual Meeting Awards page

Welcome Reception and Student and New Investigator Poster Session

The Welcome Reception and Student and New Investigator Poster Session will be held Saturday, October 15. All students and new investigators presenting during the meeting should put their posters on display. This session highlights the research of student and new investigator attendees and provides an additional opportunity to present and discuss their research, in addition to the full poster sessions.

Student and New Investigator Free Brunch

All students and new investigators are invited to attend a Brunch hosted by the Education, Student and New Investigator Affairs Committee. The Brunch will be held on Sunday, October 16, from 12:30 PM–1:45 PM. This event is only open to student and new investigator registrants. Advance registration is required.

Free Day for Local Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Rather than register and attend the entire conference, local undergraduate or graduate students may attend free of charge for one day. Free admission will include the all scientific sessions scheduled for the day. Application should be made in advance, through the EMS Headquarters. Applications should include a letter from the relevant Department Chair confirming the applicant’s status as a student in good standing.
