Poster Preparation Instructions

For optimal exposure, posters should be on display beginning at 4:30 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Your presence, and/or that of a coauthor, during the poster session that your abstract is assigned to is particularly important because this is when conference participants will plan to meet you to discuss your work. The exhibits will be open during this time as well. All posters must be removed by 2:00 PM on Tuesday. All posters must be removed immediately after the exhibit hall closes at 11:30 AM on Tuesday. It is the responsibility of the poster presenter to remove the poster. Failure to do so could result in damage to or loss of the unclaimed poster.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

1. It takes considerable effort and attention to detail to prepare an effective poster presentation. We ask that you take the time to make yours interesting and informative.
2. Your poster must fit within 4 feet x 4 feet square space.
3. Posters should use font sizes large enough to be read from a distance of 1 meter.
4. Each poster should be organized as follows:
1. A top label indicating the title of the paper (should be the same as the abstract title), with names of the authors and their affiliations.
2. The abstract should be reprinted in the upper left below the title and authors.
3. A summary should be located on the lower right portion and contain not more than 5 items.
4. Charts should be simple with bold lines.
5. Push pins are recommended for mounting your material.
6. A handout of each poster is appreciated.

Poster sessions will be located in the Exhibit Hall. The poster boards will be horizontal with 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall dimensions. Each poster board will have two posters, so your presentation must not be larger than 4 feet by 4 feet. Push pins will be provided on-site to attach your poster to the board.
Poster Board Size: 8 feet (2.43 m) long by 4 feet (1.22 m) tall.
Presentation Size: 4 feet (1.22m) long by 4 feet (1.22 m) tall.
