It takes dedicated effort and attention to detail to prepare an effective poster presentation.
We ask that you take the time to make yours interesting, informative and attractive. Try to avoid
excessive written material and small print. Use simple illustrations and list major results and conclusions
in print large enough to be read from a distance of at least 3 feet (1 m). Include a short bibliography of
relevant publications.
For optimal exposure, posters should be on display beginning at 8:00 AM
on day of your assigned poster session. Your presence, and/or that of a
coauthor, during the scheduled poster session is particularly important
because this is when conference participants will plan to meet you to
discuss your work. The exhibits will be open during this time as well.
Your poster must be removed immediately following your poster session.
EMS assumes no responsibility for any poster not removed at the end of
the session.
Poster sessions will be located in the Exhibit Hall. The poster boards
will be horizontal with 8 feet wide by 4 feet tall dimensions. Each
poster board will have two posters, so your presentation must not be
larger than 4 feet X 4 feet. Push pins will be provided on-site to
attach your poster to the board.
Poster Board Size: 8 feet (2.43 m) long by 4 feet (1.22
m) tall. Presentation Size: 4 feet (1.22m) long by 4 feet (1.22 m) tall.
